Our recent blog post addressed the topic of infection control with regard to treating sick patients. If you didn’t get a chance to read it, be sure to check it out! As infection control is of vital importance in dental practices, there are more initiatives to help dental professionals manage potential issues.
It’s not surprising that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) would work to make infection control easier in dental offices. To that end, the CDC has recently released a mobile app specifically for dental practices. “The infection prevention coordinator and other staff trained in infection prevention are encouraged to use this app at least annually to assess the status of their administrative policies and practices, and also engage in direct observation of personnel and patient-care practices,” reads the CDC’s news release.
The DentalCheck app is currently available free for iOS devices. For more information, see the full news release from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
